A collab between The Opium Group (Opium, Prive, Mansion, SET) and the guys who helped create Mynt before moving on to Mokai and Quattro, the Wall, cloistered in the back of South Beach's new W Hotel, distills both teams' acumen into a boutique-sized club that makes no bones about the fact that it's small enough to already be VIP, and therefore doesn't need a VIP room -- the same logic Mini-Me uses to keep from jumping into a river with rocks in his pockets. The space divides into a small front bar done up with black lacquered walls with Tron-like beams of light running through 'em, and a main room, which feels like you're inside a disco ball, thanks to walls that're a harlequin patterns of mirrors and brown lacquered wood; there's also an X-shaped quad of bronze banquettes in the middle, surrounded by a perimeter of black lounge banquettes, each with stools of gold-flecked pony hide, because they were sold out of "normal cloth". Music'll be piped through a Funktion-One sound system (a fave of Timo Maas and the Chemical Bros) and spun by DJ Ross One, among others, and'll be open-format, with a nod toward house as the night goes late; there's no designated dance floor, just wide avenues between banquettes, which may prohibit your Worm, but'll totally have the cocktail waitress brushing up against it at some point if you stand there long enough.

Wall's left the mixology-style drinks to the W's Living Room lobby bar, and has opted for a more straightforward booze selection featuring bottle service on staples, plus stuff like Gran Patron Platinum, Johnnie Blue, and a brigade of champagnes like Louis Roederer and Perrier-Jouet Rose in a Jeroboam, which is the size of two Magnums -- hefty guns like the two Brothers once had, before they ran out of juice.
